As a UX designer, my role was to define the product needs while balancing business logic and technological possibilities. My goal was to create a feature that would add value for users and enhance their overall experience and perception of the product.

The Audio Articles feature provides a selection of highlighted content from the daily edition in audio format, narrated by the editorial team. This functionality enriches the experience for paid subscribers of la diaria, aiming to add value for current members and highlight the benefits of the subscription for potential users.
The development of this feature evolved based on the needs of different teams and user behavior patterns. Initially, we considered integrating the audio into the written version of each article. However, by analyzing user sessions and habits throughout the day, we decided to create a dedicated section. This section groups articles into a daily playlist, allowing users to start playback and listen to the news continuously, organized by publication date.
The solution leveraged the native browser player, adding features such as skip, prev, next, and autoplay through custom development. While this extended beyond the design scope, these functionalities were essential considerations. The final result was a micro-page linked to the day's front page, offering continuous playback of highlighted news, displaying basic information such as title, author, and duration of each piece.
